The
Calaveras County Historical Society, founded in 1952 collects and preserves
for posterity the early history of Calaveras County.
Take
a moment to acknowledge those whose steps were first to imprint Calaveras
soil. We live in an area full of a rich and robust heritage represented
in our County Museum. Many decendants of the early residents of Calaveras
County are still living, and it is possible to collect from them a vast
fund of early history in the county.
